\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 The ensemble began its activity in 1998 at \u0160iauliai\u2019s 16th Secondary School (now \u201cSaul\u0117tekis\u201d Gymnasium) with 15 members. The concert programs consist of folk songs, games, and instrumental music from the Auk\u0161taitija and Samogitia regions. The members play instruments made by folk artisans as well as instruments they crafted themselves: skudu\u010diai, lumzdeliai, kankl\u0117s, drum, and basedl\u0117. The group also participated in the filming of basedl\u0117 making at the workshop of instrument craftsman Albertas Martinaitis.<\/p>\n
\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u201cVievers\u0117lis\u201d performs at city and national festivals, seminars, conferences, cultural events, and calendar celebrations. In the summer, the ensemble participates in creative camps.<\/p>\n
\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 The group implements ethnocultural projects, during which ethnographic material is collected on Lithuanian homes, toys, and musical instruments.<\/p>\n
\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 They regularly participate in folk dance evenings, and every February, in cooperation with \u0160iauliai Culture Centre, they organize the \u201cVieversis\u201d dance evening.<\/p>\n
