\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u0160iauliai District Municipality Culture Centre\u2019s Folk Craftsmen Ensemble \u201cMargulis\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 The Folk Art Folklore Ensemble was established in 1990, initially consisting of folk artists who enjoyed singing.<\/p>\n \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 In 1994, the ensemble was led by a young and talented ethnomusicologist, Diana Daunorait\u0117-Martinaitien\u0117.<\/p>\n \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 From 2004 to 2015, under the leadership of Birut\u0117 Po\u0161kien\u0117, the folklore ensemble mainly performed songs typical of the \u0160iauliai region, taken from the surrounding areas of \u0160iauliai: Gruzd\u017eiai, Kurtuv\u0117nai, Kur\u0161\u0117nai, Micai\u010diai, Raud\u0117nai, and others. Samogitian songs are also well-loved and frequently performed, along with instrumental pieces.<\/p>\n \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 With its concert program, the Folk Art Folklore Ensemble \u201cMargulis\u201d participated in the World Lithuanian Song Festivals in Vilnius in 2003, 2007, 2009, 2014, 2018, and 2024.
