\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 The folklore ensemble \u201cJ\u016brup\u0117\u201d was established in 2010. Its mission is to preserve and present the sung and spoken folklore traditions of the Taurag\u0117 region. In 2013, the ensemble recorded a CD titled \u201cSongs of the Taurag\u0117 Region (Southern Samogitia).\u201d The group participated in the Lithuanian Song Festivals in 2014 and 2018.<\/p>\n
\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 In 2024, part of the ensemble\u2019s lineup changed as new members joined. Currently, the ensemble consists of 16 members. The participants are of various ages, from children to seniors.<\/p>\n
\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 The ensemble took part in the centenary Song Festival \u201cKad giria \u017ealiuot\u0173\u201d (May the Forest Be Green) with a new program \u201cBiteli pilkuoji \u2013 kur dyna lakiuoji?\u201d (Little Gray Bee \u2013 Where Are You Flying Today?).<\/p>\n
\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 With the addition of new members (musicians), an instrumental group was formed, featuring accordion, bandoneon, violin, lumzdelis (flute), and drum.<\/p>\n
