The event captivated the audience not only with its musical program but also with its emotionally charged atmosphere.
\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 Distinguished guests opened the celebration with heartfelt greetings \u2014 Member of the Lithuanian Parliament Eimantas Kirkutis and \u0160iauliai District Municipality Council Member Judita \u0160ako\u010diuvien\u0117. Their speeches emphasized the importance of national identity, unity, and cultural preservation, further enhancing the spirit of the celebration. Their words reminded everyone that July 6th is not just a historical date but a living testament to our shared values and connection.
\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 The highlight of the event came when guests from faraway lands took the stage \u2014 \u201cVatan Music Group\u201d from Azerbaijan and the folklore ensemble \u201cDanzas Burgalesas Justo del R\u00edo\u201d from Spain. Both groups delivered extraordinary performances, blending traditional music, graceful dance, and deep cultural heritage.
\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 The Azerbaijani group enchanted the audience with their oriental mystique and heartfelt melodies, while the Spanish ensemble won hearts with their energetic, passionate dances and vibrant traditional costumes.
\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 These performers not only showcased the beauty of their national cultures but also reminded us that folklore is a living language of the heart \u2014 one that unites people beyond words. It was a day when the spirit of many nations beat as one shared rhythm.

Guests were treated to hearty and delicious traditional \u017dar\u0117nai-region meals, which were highly praised by the visitors for both flavor and the hosts\u2019 culinary creativity.
\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 Three other towns in the district also welcomed international guests of the \u201cThe Flower of the Sun\u201d festival. In Me\u0161kui\u010diai, performers from Spain and Azerbaijan took the stage, while in Ku\u017eiai, the folk dance ensemble \u201cKincs\u0151\u201d from Budapest, Hungary, showcased their dynamic dances. The residents of Saugini\u0173 also had the chance to enjoy the Hungarian group’s performance.
