Tuo metu, Šiaulių „Saulės terasoje“ vyko Lietuvos folkloro ansamblių koncertas, džiuginęs šiauliečius nuostabiais pasirodymais. Šiaulių Šv. Apaštalų Petro ir Pauliaus katedroje vyko neeilinis renginys – kanklių muzikos koncertas „Skambėkite, kanklės“. The sounds of the traditional, stringed Lithuanian folk instrument were presented by Prof. Dr. Arūnas Gumuliauskas, Lithuanian folk and concert kanklės performers, Juozas Janužas (tenor), Alvaidas Bernotas (birbynė), and the Šiauliai State Chamber Choir “Polifonija”. Lithuanian folklore ensembles “Salduvė”, “Vieversėlis”, “Sidabrinė gija” (Šiauliai), “Verpeta” (Kaišiadorys), “Vainuta” (Vainutas), “Viešia” (Neveronys), Damilė and Lukas Bagdonavičiai (Vilnius) performed at the main stage in the concert “Tarp aukštaičių ir žemaičių“. The volunteers of the “Flower of the Sun” invited the inhabitants and guests of Šiauliai to learn the mass dance of the “Flower of the Sun” and to sing with Lithuanian folklore ensembles. On the occasion of the Coronation Day of Mindaugas, a general singing of the National Hymn took place, which attracted many people who love their country.
The evening programme featured exceptional concerts by Jonas Chockevičius and the folklore group “Taruta” (Ukraine). The day was crowned by night dances, during which traditional Lithuanian dance steps were taught by “Vieversėlis” (Šiauliai), “Radvija” (Radviliškis), “Taduja” (Kelmė), “Dūzginėlis” (Laukuva) and “Gers smuoks” (Šilalė).
