In the evening of the 7^th of July, a large crowd of people gathered in Šiauliai concert hall “Saulė” (meaning “the sun” in Lithuanian) to take part in the finalising concert of one of the largest folk festivals in Lithuania, “The Flower

Due to the rain, today’s Final Concert will be held at Šiauliai Concert Hall “Saulė” (Tilžė st. 140) at 7 p.m. The Concert Hall opens at 6:30 p.m. The number of seats is limited.

      All foreign ensembles have finally arrived to Šiauliai! In the morning, all delegations attended a meeting with the event organisers, where they got acquainted with the festival and contest programme.

      Perhaps one of the most traditional events of the festival, “The Flower of the Sun” flash mob, is going to involve even the shyest and the most self-critical event participants.

      On 3-7 July, the traditional songs, melodies and instruments of various cultures will be played for the eighth time in Šiauliai.

      Last Thursday, the organisers of the 8th International Folk Contest-Festival “The Flower of the Sun“ held the first press conference of the event in Šiauliai City Municipality.
