Indra Filipsone is a choreographer, educator, professional dancer, and one of Latvia’s most prominent figures in the field of folk culture. A graduate of the Latvian Academy of Music, she has created an impressive choreographic legacy: 98 original dance compositions for various age groups and 10 staged choreographic performances. She is also the author of a dance book designed for all generations of dancers.
   From 1974 to 1979, Indra was a professional dancer with the Latvian State Dance Ensemble “Daile” and the Riga Drama Theatre. For nearly three decades (1978–2011), she led dance groups of different age levels. Since 2006, she has served as a jury member for dance competitions, and since 2008, she has been organizing an annual spring dance festival for schoolchildren.
   Indra’s work extends far beyond Latvia. She was a member of the Europeade International Committee (1994–2019) and has been an Honorary Member of the Europeade Senate since 2019. Additionally, she is a member of the International Union of Folklore Associations (IGF) and the International Dance Council (CID).
   She is also affiliated with the Latvian Professional Ballet Association, the Latvian Theatre Association, and the Fraternity of the Orders. From 2019 to 2020, she taught business etiquette at Riga Catholic Gymnasium.
