The Folk Music Band “Radvija” was founded in 2008. The ensemble preserves and promotes Lithuanian folk songs and melodies, as well as traditional folk music-making. The majority of the repertoire consists of Lithuanian folk melodies arranged by the ensemble members themselves.
“Radvija” performs for local communities, at city and district festivals, and at various special events. The band has presented concert programs in many cities and towns across Lithuania. They have also performed during concert tours in Latvia, Hungary, Poland, and the United States.
For 16 years now, on the initiative of the ensemble, the regional band festival “Žemėj Lietuvos” has been organized.
The ensemble’s motto is: “Everything simple is original.”
