In the autumn of 2016, Dalia Magylienė formed the adult folklore ensemble “Davila” at the Utena Culture Centre. The ensemble is named after a river flowing in the Utena district, whose name symbolizes the flowing of spring water.
The group primarily learns songs, dances, and instrumental music from the Utena region, performing with traditional instruments such as the violin, accordion, lumzdelis (flute), and stump drum. The members also gladly perform songs and dances from other regions of Lithuania.
The ensemble gains experience in traditional dancing from young performers as well, meeting at various traditional dance clubs, evening gatherings, and dance nights held in different Lithuanian cities: Vilnius, Varėna, Kaunas, Panevėžys, Molėtai, and others.
