On the 5th of July, 9 countries took part in the traditional and stylised folk-dance competition.
In the 1st category “Traditional Folk Dance Groups”, 7 groups from the Czech Republic (“Slezan”), Hungary (“Tiszavirág”), Panama (“Ritmos y Raíces Panameñas Ballet Folkclorico”), Poland (“Grześ”), Portugal (“Rancho típico da Amorosa”), Spain (“El Redoble”), and Sweden (“Lunds Studenters Folkdanslag”) took part in the competition.
In the 2nd category “Stylized Folk Dance Groups”, 5 groups from Hungary (“Tiszavirág”), Panama (“Ritmos y Raíces Panameñas Ballet Folkclorico”), Poland (“Grześ”), Spain (“El Redoble”) and Ukraine (“Halychyna”) competed.
The winners of the 1st category “Traditional Folklore Dance Groups” were Portugal (“Rancho típico da Amorosa”) in 1st place, Spain (El Redoble) in 2nd place and the Czech Republic (“Slezan”) in 3rd place.
The winners of the 2nd category “Stylized Folk Dance Group” were Hungary (“Tiszavirág”), followed by Spain (El Redoble) in 2nd place, and Panama (Ritmos y Raíces Panameñas Ballet Folkclorico) in 3rd place.
