The Folklore Ensemble “Žiedupė” of Krakių Culte Centre (Artistic Director: Jūratė Gudliauskienė) has been active since 2007. During this time, the ensemble has participated in all Lithuanian Song Festivals (2009, 2014, 2018, and 2024) and is a regular participant in competitions, national, and international folklore festivals. The ensemble has been awarded Category II status.
The ensemble actively participates in various folk celebrations, festivals, national holidays, and anniversary events, representing the Kėdainiai region throughout Lithuania. “Žiedupė” has prepared programs on the ethnographer M. Katkus, a military-historical songs program, as well as programs for Rasos (Midsummer), weddings, Advent, Shrovetide (Užgavėnės), romances, and others.
Between 2022 and 2024, the folklore ensemble “Žiedupė” participated in international folklore festivals: “Atataria lamzdžiai” in Kaunas (2022), “Saulės žiedas” in Šiauliai (2023), “Aš padainūsiu Dainų dainelę” at the Simonas Stanevičius Homestead-Museum in Raseiniai district (2023), and “Tek saulužė ant maračių” in Nida (2024). Ensemble members also took part in the folklore competitions “Grįžulai” (2023) and “Tradicijų paveldėtojai” (2024, where they received diplomas) in Vilnius, and appeared on the TV program “Duokim garo” (in 2022 and 2024).
In 2024, the ensemble performed at the Kėdainiai District Song and Dance Festival “Sudainuokime Lietuvą” and at the centennial Lithuanian Song Festival “Kad giria žaliuotų” in Vilnius.
